We are delighted to be able to offer for sale another Japanese Classic Race Rep in the form of this Stunning and Beautifully made VFR750-R RC30 - Released in 1987 in Japan the RC30 was built as a homologation model for the World Superbike Series and ONLY 3000 were ever made. The Liquid Cooled V4 Produced 118HP @ 11,000 RPM in unrestricted form and although the engine was based on the VFR750-F (RC24) and was almost identical externally, all the major internals were specific to the RC30 including Titanium Rods and Gear Driven Double Overhead Camshafts. A 360 degree "Big Bang" Crank was used to give a broad spread of power feeding through a Close Ratio Box with a extremely high first gear ratio (0-82mph) and a Slipper Clutch. Race kits were available from HRC. SHOWA supplied the Fully Adjustable Suspension with QR Wheels and Brake Pads. Single Sided Swing Arm. With the RC30 Fred Merkel won the Inaugural Superbike World Championships Riders and Manufacturers Titles in 1988 and in 1989. Robert Dunlop won the Macau GP in 1989 - Steve Hislop won it in 1990. Comes with 2 keys and stand. This bike was Imported into the UK in 2003 - we believe that approximately 20k (12k miles) of the mileage was km before the clock was converted to mph but we cannot substantiate this fact.
